Today's AI is brilliant but amnesiac. Every conversation starts from zero, and whatever a model retains belongs to its maker, not to you. OMVY's thesis is simple: the next leap in AI is not a larger model. It is memory.
Lashley is that memory. It remembers what matters about you and your work, builds understanding over time, and updates itself when the facts change, keeping a full, auditable history instead of silently overwriting the past. Ask it what it knew last month, and it can tell you.
And it's yours. Because your memory belongs to you, not to any single app, Lashley travels with you across the AI tools you already use: Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini's developer tools, on open standards. Change model, and your context comes with you.
What makes Lashley different
- It lasts. It remembers across sessions, not just the current chat.
- It corrects itself. When a fact changes, it updates and keeps the old version; nothing is silently overwritten.
- You can audit it. Every fact carries its history: when it became true, when it changed, what it replaced.
- It understands. Not stored text, but a living map of people, projects, and decisions, and how they connect.
- It's yours. Isolated, private by design, and portable across the AI you use.
- It works on its own. No commands; it remembers and recalls in the background.
- Start full, not from zero. Import your past conversations and your AI picks up where you left off.
The road ahead
A memory that doesn't only answer when asked but anticipates the context you need; shared, governed memory for teams and institutions, with the same auditability; and memory that reasons over time, understanding how goals and decisions evolve. When memory is solved, AI stops being a brilliant stranger you re-introduce yourself to each day, and becomes something that knows you, and grows with you.
“Memory is the most personal thing there is: your context, your decisions, what you've learned. For all its power, today's AI lets that vanish, or keeps it for itself. We believe it should be yours: something that follows you, that you can trust and verify. That belief is what we built Lashley on,” said Antonio Brayan Padilla Pelaez, founder of OMVY.
Lashley runs in production today as hosted, multi-tenant infrastructure, the same engine behind OMVY's products, which remain in closed beta ahead of a public launch in Q4 2026. It is isolated per workspace by design and auditable by construction.
OMVY participates in the OpenAI, Google for Startups, and AWS Activate programs.
